FLOOD REVISION!!! - Gunnedah

The news items i was relying on for my information, was incorrect, as a trip around twon at 11.30am reveled.
The floods peak was at 12 noon today, not 12 midnight as per reports!!!
Photos revealing the levels follow...
This photo was taken in Rosemary Street, Bloomfield end. Bloomfield Street is actually underwater!!!
The white arrow shows the field i played softball on on Thursday and is where yesterdays photos were taken that were on my blog...
It rose quiet a bit!!!

This is another angle dwn towards the river... You can see the baseball fields...
Here is Mullibah Lagoon, usually with a light flow of water through it....
A saw these kids down there with a suspicious looking ramp on a wheelbarrow!!!
Yes, typical boy behaviour!!
Didnt take two guesses to figure out what this was being used for...
I was pleased to see them being "safety" conscious!!
They had a boyancy vest ON THE BIKE!!!!
They were going to make sure at least the bike didnt get washed away and drowned!!!
I think someones Mum needs to talk to this boy about Priorities!!
This is the Tamworth ROad Bridge....
Not quite under..
But the water is across the road at Redbank, where the river comes close to the highway...
Brenda lives out there and has been cut off from town!!
The cows dont seem too concerned!!!
A drive upto the local lookout reveals the extent of the flooding....
You can see the water at the bridge..
You can see how far it extends out...
Uptowards the top of this photo is where it is crossing the road at Redbank out where Brenda lives...

Here it is over town...
And then out towards Quirindi....
It looks like it might have peaked as there looks like damage out past the water line.
Jacquie went looking this morning, and it wasnt this far out apparently.
Will have to check out her blog...

So thats my run about town.
Have taken a couple of videos and will download them when i remember how??
