Deepest Sympathy

It was the most tradgic of circumstances that had me heading back to my home town again yesterday....
My dear friend Julie from school lost her younger brother to cancer after a six month fight.... So very very sad....
He is survived by his wife and two young sons, his mum and dad and older brother and sister and all the families... 12 nieces and nephews...
The funeral home was overfull... Every room had people hanging out the doors and then some stayed outside.... He was 37.......

Us girls all went to support Julie, who no doubt was the strength for her famiy, as the only sister tends to be.....
We sat up the back in the peanut gallery and tried to behave ourselves....
We still all have so much fun together - even in these sad circumstances, with remiscing etc. But isnt it funny. When we are in our school groups, we are all very different people and we fill different roles within the group. Those rolls are still there... when we get together its like no time at all has passed and it can be years that separate us....
Shame our reunion was for such a sad event...

Here are some photos...

We all went out for tea and then i had to head home... But it was a very beautiful sad day. It was lovely to share such wonderful memories though of a very individual mans man like Mick was.... You will be sadly missed Mick.... RIP
