Kreative Kaisercraft Kapture....

How exciting it is for my to show off my latest
Kaisercraft Creations....

I love the direction Kaiser are heading in with their Home Decor Items
and the designs of their paper Collections.
They really do set a fantastic base to let my Creativity Flow...

This is my
English Rose Craft Chest.
You may have seen it recently featured in
Scrapbook Creations Magazine Issue #86.

I was sent a box full of fabulous Kasiercraft Product by the Scrapbook Creations Team
for a Kaisercraft Feature Challenge
and I came up with this.
The English Rose Collection really inspired the direction I took this in
and i made little punched layers paper blossoms
to accessorise...

I also used English Rose Rub Ons, Kaisercolour Paint in Burgundy, Antique White, Sage Green and Dusty Pink. Kaisercraft Pearl Lengths, Kaisercraft Wood Scrolls, Kaisercraft pearl Brads.

Here are some closer piccies.

My style of Scrapbooking is Eclectic.
It changes based on the kind of product I work with, the photo section,
a challenge of some sort.....
But a common feature will always be where possible is that items will be
cut from Patterned Paper and used as Embellishments.
I love lots of layers
When i saw this range from KaiserCraft
"Up Up & Away"
I was inspired by the muted colours
and the Carnival Feel of the designs.

With that in mind
I was inspired to use photos from last years
Local Show.
I used Photoshop Actions by Trevor Dayley
to change the colour of my photos to blend in with the muted colours of the papers.

"On Show"

This layout is my Colour Room Palette #53 entry.
I have also used the adorable Kaisercraft Natural Doily, Kaisercraft Wood Oval Frame, Kaisercraft Alphabet Stickers & Tiny Alpha Stickers, KaiserCraft Up Up & Away De Cuts & Tags. Kaisercraft Crystal Flourishes and the beautiful Kaisercraft Natural Lace.

I took one look at the Die Cut Paper from the
Chanteuse Collection
and knew straight away what i wanted to do with it.
It just called out Canvas Frame to me!!!
So we will call this one

"Framed Beauty"

This is my daughter Emelia's Debuatante Ball photos from last year.
I cut the centre from the Die Cut Paper and adhered it to the canvas Frame.
I have also used Cut Out flowers from other Chanteuse Papers and
Kaisercraft Pink Doily, The gorgeous Polystyrene Posies (Which I have twisted), Kaisercraft Flowers, Kaisercraft Pearls & Wood. I have also added a Kaisercraft Rhinestone Butterfly that i have left on the acetate backing and slipped in amongst the flowers.

Here are some closer looks.
I have twisted the long Polystyrene Posies
Layered the flowers by removing petals from the bigger ones and gluing them back together again so they sit a little higher, then added the cut out flower centre and a rhinestone.

I have cut flowers from the papers and layered them over the die cut.

I have tucked a little doily in behind the flowers
and added the butterfly

I am very very proud of this next project!
I am new to the art of Mixed Media...
This is my
"She Art Book of Me"

Believe it or not, buried under all the Mod Podge and Texture Paste is all
Kasiercraft Product, except a couple of little extra bits.
I started off with the
KasierCraft Heart Album
and the Love Notes Collection.
Each page was first covered in Paper from the above range.
A thin layer of texture paste was added and then i stamped into the paste using the Kaisercraft Utopia Clear Stamps. That made a nice lumpy finish and the texture from the stamp remained.
I used the Timeless & Up Up & Away Papers for the dolls.
Cutting out the shapes for their heads, torso, legs and dresses.
I used Kaisercraft Lace for accents on the dresses and Kaisercraft Pearls.
I also used Kaisercraft flowers on some girls and Kaisercraft Felt on other girls.
I added ink using Clear Stamps from the Prairie Lane Collection.
Ive used Kaiser products: Ribbons, Paints, Pearl, Rhinestones and Lace for accents on finished pages
Ive added Kaisercraft wood to the front press out heart section.

Here are some closer photos:
Side View....

The little title heart.

 Last Page...

Sometimes as i have already mentioned,
papers just scream out for something!!!!
The Up, Up and Away Collection and the Timeless Collection combined to bring this Vintage layout
"Lullaby"

I have added mist and paint to the background paper to add to the Vintage Fell of the layout.
The photo for this layout really isn't the best.
But its the only photo i have of my Mum with Me.
Mum and Dad are bringing me home from hospital.
It was a bad photo to start with, really bad light and then added to that the age of it.
So i have played around with Trevor Dayley Actions for Photoshop
changed the colours
and come up with something relatively acceptable.
When it comes to photos like this one though, i think you have to look past the quality and into the meaning and sentiment behind it. The reason I scrap is to pass on important
pieces of history to my children and my grandchildren, and sometimes that means photos that aren't the best.

The Carnival atmosphere of the Up Up and Away Collection reminded me of a lullaby
Mum sung to me as a baby.
The Carnival is Over by the Seekers.

I have used Kaisercolour Paint in Black & Gold, with some glimmer as well.
The little Mother & Daughter frame from the Chanteuse  Collection, Pearls, Wood Frame, Paper Flowers and other Kaisercraft flowers, Kaisercraft Pearl Brads, Kaisercraft pearls, The Large and Small Alpha Stickers, Rub ons from the English Rose Collection, Lace, Kaisercraft Leaf Flourish Wood (Sorry I threw the packaging out, Whoops!)

Some closer views..

The photo isn't the best, but its all i have!

"English Rose Card Set"
I wouldn't really call myself a card maker as such,
But i do enjoy making special cards for special people.
And this gorgeous range of paper certainly cries out for lovely feminine cards...

This is the style of layout that i mostly revert back to
Very florally and feminine.
"Girls Night Out"

Ive used the
Chanteuse Collection
I have also used Cut Out flowers from other Chanteuse Papers and
Kaisercraft Natural Doiley, The gorgeous Polystyrene Posies (Which I have twisted), Kaisercraft Flowers, Kaisercraft Pearls & Wood. I have also added a Kaisercraft Rhinestone Heart that i have left on the acetate backing and slipped in amoungst the flowers. I have also cut out petal sections from one of the flowers and bent them up to add dimension. Kaisercraft Sticker Alphas in Large and Small and the Kaisercraft Pearl Flourish.

Finally here is a note holder that i also made recently.
"English Rose Memo Pad"
(I do love this range, as if it isn't obvious!!)
My house has a deep red/burgundy feature wall with cream walls and burgundy leather furnishings, so this range really suits my home decor.

I covered the backing in Patterned Paper and cut around the board using a craft knife.
I sanded the edges and also painted using the Antique White Kaisercolour Paint.
Ive made flowers using a Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Florals, and also the stamped layered flowers that i used in the Craft Chest earlier.
I have also added a Wood Flourish that i painted with dry brush Antique White, I curled the lengths of Kaisercraft Pearls around the scrolled base. To make them curl and sit flat, i just snipped tiny portions on the outside of the tap length.

Close up of the flowers....

I also wanted to share a couple of little extra Kaisercraft items i have made....

In about 2009 maybe Scrapbook Memories sent me a box full of Kasiercraft to make an album for a
Kaisercraft Challenge Feature.
This is what i made.
All Items are Kaisercraft except for the ribbon & Lettering and it featured in
Scrapbook Memories Vol 11 No 6

"Mummy's Baby Girl"
(Hehe thats me!)

And Finally
Using all the left over bits and bobs from previous projects, I also did this Mini Canvs
"Take Flight"

Featuring the same Mixed Media techniques as the above Post
and left over items that have previously been mentioned...
Mostly Up, Up & Away!
Love that range too!!!
