If you want to know how to make these, i have uploaded a video tutorial (sorta thing) to you tube!

More Archery Today...
Still practicing!
Things are starting to come together though..

This is one of the closer shots at about 30 yards

This one is 65 Yards

This one is 80 yards!

(Also, for those of you that have inquired about Emelia's Old Boyfriend Matt, this is him here,
all growned up!)

This is me at 80 Yards!
Thats a bloody long way down there!

I so dont like this bow!
Its such an unattractive colour!
Take notice of Matts bow in the photo below!

Its PINK & GREEN
How awesome is that!
I want one like his!!

And we also decided to try prickly pear while we were out in the bush!

Preparation for the National IFAA Archery Titles....

OMG!!
Can you believe that my Matthews Prestige bow has been sitting in the cupboard
as good as gold since 2006
just coming out every now and then and shooting fine!
I pull it out yesterday to get everything sighted properly for the IFAA practice shoot
at the range this weekend
for the Nationals next weekend!
I fire the second arrow and BANG!!!!
Talk about bloody typical!!
But there is another left handed shooter in the club with a similar draw length
to me and she had a spare hunting bow!
So it looks like my new bow is a spider Camo bow!
(And there are now pink bows on the market too!! Grr)
But beggers cant be choosers!
It would mean ordering a bow and waiting for months!
The Matthews bow I had to wait for 4 months!

So this is what the new one looks like.
This photo doesn't really show the colour, but its kind of a flat silver
overlayed with black spider web design
And silver strings.

IFAA archery we shoot from about 11 Yards through to 80 yards!
80 yards is a long way away!!!

Here is another photo of it...

This is Stu on the 80 yard shot!

You can hardly even see what your shooting at let alone hit it!!

See this little guy....
It was huge about 2cm!
We call him Julia!
He has a big red head and you have to watch your back!!

We have more archery tomorrow all day!
Wish me luck, I am so tired!!

An Inland Sea

There are some wonderful things about getting up with the sun and going for a walk....
The crisp clean morning air.....
But what is this i see...
Is it garbage?,
a couple of dogs sleeping?
Upon closer inspection i note that they are dead black wild pigs!
Left at the front gutter of someones house overnight!!!!
Eeekkk! Yukko!
Not the most pleasant thing to see first thing of a morning!

But the morning did shape up better!
The town was covered in fog this morning!!
It was so beautiful and eery!
Like an inland sea!

The fog looked like a giant wave!!
You cant see it that well with these iphone photos
but in real life it was amaising!!

National Archery Titles Prep:

Well, we have a two day shoot here over the weekend in preparation for the
National Archery Titles
over the long weekend!
I have been trying to get my bow shot in all week!
The last time i used it my scores dropped really big time
and i put it down to just being tired and not arrow fit!
But trying to shoot the bow in there were
so many inconsistencies
and i just couldn't get a group!
Stu says its because i haven't shot in a while,
but i knew something was wrong!
I mean i can shoot really good groups all the time!
So I wasn't convinced it was me!
Anyway, i arrowed up and got ready to shoot and pressed the trigger
and SNAP!
The arrow went off to the right somewhere..
and there was a ill feeling!
Nothing went well after that!
And it just got worse and worse!
So i think i have blown it up, cracked the limbs because of the dry fire!!!
Just perfect!
Another girl in the club has a spare bow though
that fits me and is left handed!
So i will shoot that tomorrow and see how we go!
I think the draw length is a bit long though! :(

123 Challenge - June

June 123 Challenge is:

Colour - Brown
Technique - Tape
Word - Create

Here is my layout
"Create Trust, Build Love"

I have used tape masking tape cut on angels and used as a matt for the photo.
The cardstcok:
I have used cardboard as a stamp and stamped brown paint and then used a Bronze Embossing Powder and embossed over the stamping!
Gives a different kind of finish!

Book Review - Falling Under by Gwen Hayes

I came across this book the other week when i was shopping at Big W
Falling Under by Gwen Hayes

Ive never read this author before.
She writes both Teen & Adult Fiction.
This book though is Teen Fiction!

I totally loved it!
Couldn't put it down.
Weve seen Vampires, WereWolves, Shapeshifters,
Fairies, Angels, Fallen Angels and now we have something different again!!!
Demons!
Theia is a sweet innocent little thing raise by her very English father
as her wayward mother passed away during Theia's birth..
Theia dreams of the falling burning man
and her life is forever changed!

I really enjoyed this book....

I give it 4 Stars!
