Macro Monday - Cicada

 While i was out on the range over the weekend

I took advantage of all the little

interesting things one finds in the bush

especially for Macro Monday!

I didn't have my Canon 500D with me,

just my iphone 4!

I thought how hard it was to get close up shots with my digi camera,

imagine how hard its going to be with my iphone!
and it was totally hard to get clear Macro Shots!

So I went to the Itunes Apps

and put in Macro Camera in the search

and it came up with a 32X Camera App!!

Yay!

And its perfect!

I can get closer with my iphone than what i can with the Macro Setting on my Camera!!!

So here is the Cicada Shell I found.

They make the most noise these creatures

and they shed their shells regularly leaving them clinging onto

branches.....

Here is what he normally looks like!

The high pitched mating call they make can reach up to 120 decibels!!!

Macro Monday is here again

and on the weekend I came across this adorable little guy

making his way to a new home!!

Macro Monday

I haven't done these photos in a little while....

But its cleaning day today and I am really not at all feeling motivated,

so i thought i would go out and take some shots.....

I dont have a macro lense and its so frustrating trying to get as close as i would like!

I wanted to get just the water drop!

So I got as close as i could to take the photo using the auto focus and then put it on Manual Focus.

Then i had to crop it right down. this is as close as i could go before it got blurry!

I like how you can see the reflection of the other colours around it in the water drop!
The green leaves are very dominant in the water!!!

Macro Monday - Fluffy Flowers

Stu and I went up to the lookout over the weekend 

having a look at the river which was breaking the banks... again!!!!

I saw these flowers....

They are actually a thistle, Variegated Thistle

A weed!!

Arnt they adorable but??

Macro Monday - Orchid

Mum has been baby sitting this orchid for me...

I have a very black thumb!!
So now that its flowering, it has come to visit me..

But it will probably go back to mums place before i kill it!!

Day 11

Macro Monday - A Walk among the roses

When i was up in Emerald, i took a wander through the Gardens...

There wasnt much of a rose garden being that we are just coming out of Winter here in Australia...

But there were a couple of gorgeous ones....

This one took my fancy straight away...

It has a tiny little spider on it...

So Cute

I loved the soft pink of this one.....

And then for something different

went with the back of this rose...

Love the colour!!
This is SOOC too....

That background is natural!!

Day 4

Macro Monday - Yellow in the Wild

I took my camera out and went for a bush walk yesterday

and found some wonderful photo opportunities...

A couple that suit Macro Monday...

Here is a little yellow wild daisy

Its incredible how they grow in the rocks!!

And we have so many different types of wattle around at the moment...
