Colour Combos Galour #199 Using Sketch by Crafty Sketches

The Colour Combos Galore Palette

this week was very bright!

Kinda threw me back into some of my old scrapping ways

with bling and flowers!!! Haha

Here is the layout

"Wash Me!"

Solo was so looking forwrad to going for a ride, he all but dressed himself this day!!!

Here is the palette and inspiration for the challenge....

I also used a sketch from

Crafty Sketches

done by my dear friend Jules...

Loved this sketch

Book Review - Book 11 True Blood Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

Ive been waiting with baited breath for this book......

We have seen Sookie with Bill the Vampire, and then Alcide the Were Wolf, she was being hit on my a Were Panther, killed numerous vampires, found out that she is one eigth fairy, married to the very hunky Eric,

nearly killed by enemies of her fairy grandfather... where else is there for Sookie to go...

Enter Dead Reckoning!

I have a feeling that this book is taking Sookie in a whole other direction!!!

Without going into great detail, cause i aint no critic,

I loved this book!

I couldn't put it down from start to finish!

Sookie is still with Eric and has her fairy relatives living with her. The stripper Claude and her great Uncle Dermont. There are territorial wars with the Vamps... (As usual)

Sookie comes across a secret compartment in a desk with a letter and a gift from her Gran....

This is very interesting....

A great read and highly recommended!

Now, as a side note,

cause i was so keen to order this book!

I actually bought two of them! The hard cover and the soft over!

I've read the soft cover,

so i have the hard cover book for sale...

$30 + $6 postage..

I have paypal if you are interested in purchasing this...

Featured Layout at The Colour Room - Please Josh

How exciting was it to see this on

this weeks colour reveal at

"The Colour Room!"

I so struggled with this combo as i had very little papers and embellies in these colours,

so i made my own using these papers as these were the only ones i had too!

So how great is it that it was featured this week!!

Yay!! Thanks everyone!!!

Here is a bigger version...

And this was the palette..

Kaisercraft New Releases - Little Toot Collection

Now that all my

Little Toot Collection

has been shown on the Kaisercraft Blog

I will also share it here with you....

Here is my layout:

Slip, Spin. BANG"

Remember when Josh slipped on some oil that was on a wet road? What a perfect line of papers for this photo with the street signs and things!

I added the misted tree as he banged into a tree too.... Kinda added to the story!

I love these photo frames

I actually have one here that i haven't used for ages,

but now that i did for this months new releases, I will also use the one i have sitting here!

They are the perfect thing for presents!!!

I have also shared a tip on the Kaiser blog about putting them together, so be sure to check it out!

Here is the revised version of a card i did  for this range..

"You're 3"

Complete with correct spelling!!

And anyone who knows me at all

knows that i am not a card maker!!

I did reveal this to Kaisercraft in my application for the design team!

I was upfront about it!

The cards that i do are very simple... But I am working on this! I have been scanning blogs of some awesome card makers including my dear friend Lindi, and have bought some magazine with different how to card techniques, so hopefully as the year progresses, you will see more and more adventurous cards from me!

To share something personal:

I have kept my blog since 2005, and it is my diary. As i have mentioned on here time and time again, that this is my life, my exact life. There are no shows of something that i am not!

What you see is what you get complete with warts and all. That includes bad spelling and pronunciation!

Id like to think that as time goes on I will get better with that, but it just hasn't! And that's me im afraid!

So when i did my very first blog post for Kaiser and it featured a card with Your 3, rather than You're 3 and it came to my attention through the gutless use of a "smack blog" I was devastated!

It wasn't that they thought my card was crap! I mean hey, i made the team and you didn't so get a life you know! But the fact that they pointed out a spelling error that no one else picked up on before it was published! I was devastated and so embarrassed!

But i do feel better that i did make international smack blog!!! Thats a pretty big thing you know!! Hehe. I said to my husband, "So does that mean I'm famous now?" Haha

I did follow all the links to see who one of the contributors of this dreadful way to have a say is and she claims that she is a stay at home mum who suffers with ADHD and she "deals!!". I had a laugh to myself, if this is her way of dealing than she isn't very good at it! By entertaining herself my rubbishing other artists anonymously is the lowest form of entertainment if you ask my opinion!

An Action Packed Day!

How nice was it today to spend it with Big Little Kids!!!

You may recall that i have been "Borrowing" my friends children recently for outings due to mine being too grown up, or away at college!!!

Well, today I borrowed Brenda's kids for a day out....

and we had so much fun!!!

First we went to the movies. I thought we would go and see the new CARS2 movie.

But i was outvoted and we saw this one instead...

Seriously funny and cool movie!!!

Im so glad we went to this one instead!!!

Then we headed over to ride the Segways!!

I didnt ride them of course, and neither did Emelia, but Ryan and Meagan totally enjoyed them!!

Here is Meagan,

once she got her balance she was off like a shot!!!

So easy to ride (Well it looked it!! lol)

And here is Ryan,

later he even got the hang of leaning right into the corners too!!!

And they also let him loose in the arcade and not just in the one room!!!

Emelia stayed with me outside and watched from the sidelines...

Then after a visit with Mum,

we came home and took the kids up to the horse paddock

so Meagan could meet Solo.

Meagan is an almost keen horsewoman!!!

She got up behind Emelia and they went for a walk around the paddock.

Solo didn't mind it at all.

He was pretty sure Ryan was good for a feed though!!!

As you can see we squeezed alot into one day!!

It will be another big day tomorrow too. Mum, Emelia and I are off to Narrabri to see Matthew and do some stuff with him, he is settling into his new home ok...

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch

I thought i would play along with the sketch this week...

I thought the misting music would be appropriate for the Eisteddfod,

but not in this light!!
The colours really dont reflect true in this photo..

But you get the point hey!

"Eisteddfod Time"

And here was the sketch

Go check out the other layouts here

and dont forget you can be in the running for a $50 and $20 Prize pack!
