The Colour Room Palette # 120

I thought this palette was similar to last weeks at

The Colour Room.

But it gave me the opportunity to use some cardstock I have been experimenting with for a while...

Using Stencils and Texture Paste!

The only papers I had to match the colours were from a christmas range....

Here is the layout

"Riding In Pairs"

This was the palette

Featured: - The Colour Room

With all the brilliant layouts over at the Colour Room

I was so honoured that someone thought mine was nice enough to be featured this week...

Here is the layout...

The Colour Room Palette #117

How fun it is to have the time to do some on-line Scrapping Challenges..

When I saw this palette from

The Colour Room,

I was inspired to give it ago...

Especially after viewing the video about Journal Art by Lyndell.

Check it out here

So here is my layout

"Sitting Tall"

I punched out some deep border punch strips and adhered them to the layout and then covered the page and punched edges with Gesso

I also used the gesso with a stencil to give a different effect..

I covered the page in Glimmer, Paint and some Twinkling H2o's... (Haven't used those in forever!)

Then scrapped the page as normal.

You can see here the dimension with the Gesso using the punched edge and stencil.

My time with The Colour Room

Revolving Door Artist Continues....

This weeks reveal is:

(Which was on Friday! Running a little late with blogging about it! Whoops!)

"Love at First Sniff"

The Story Behind this photo:

This is when we moved into the house we live in now. In was 2000 and there were these horses in the paddock behind us. Emelia was 6 and this horse is Cimmi, who when Emelia was 14 started riding and Cimmi helped save Emelia from some very bad choices!!! We say that Cimmi saved her life. Cimmi passed away last year and she was 33 years old! I wish Emelia had started riding her when they first met, but we didn't know who owned these horses and didn't find out until Emelia was 14 that it was someone id known really well all along!! But things happen for a reason... maybe Emelia was meant to experience what she did at a young age because she will and has gone on to help other young girls making silly choices with their lives.

Here is the palette and Sketch

Why dont you come along and play with us...

Thank you so much for the feature...

Here is a bigger version..

The Colour Room Palette #70

Last night i decided to do some just for fun scrapping!!!
My choice was to play along with this weeks colour palette at

The Colour Room

This is Palette #70

"Its all in the Eyes"

I misted the background with two different pinks which gave an apricot finish

And then just layered the papers, photos and embellies from there

added some doodling...

Haven't doodled in such a long time. Don't even know what possessed me to do it.

But you know how it is with scrapping, sometimes we just pull this stuff out from nowhere!!!

Here was the palette.

The Color Room #69 - Nanny Love

Here is a layout i have been just killing time with today...

Before i get stuck into more DT stuff.

It was for

"The Colour Room" Palette 69

"Nanny Love"

At Easter Zane couldnt get enough of the Choppa Choppa

on Mums phone.

They took the photo at John Hunter Hospital when they were there seeing Mat in March

and it was the highlight of the year for Zane as you could imagine!
He loved the Choppa Choppa!

Here is the palette.

Featured Layout at The Colour Room - Please Josh

How exciting was it to see this on

this weeks colour reveal at

"The Colour Room!"

I so struggled with this combo as i had very little papers and embellies in these colours,

so i made my own using these papers as these were the only ones i had too!

So how great is it that it was featured this week!!

Yay!! Thanks everyone!!!

Here is a bigger version...

And this was the palette..

The Color Room #65

I very rarely have photos to scrap of Josh

So when i saw this colour palette at

the colour room!

I thought id better take advantage of it!

Hmm, ok in theory!!!

The only things i had in these colours are what are on the page!!

They were so hard to use too!

But this is what i came up with

"Please Josh"

The photo is a very rare photo of my son Josh sitting at the tea table and that little fluffy black creature in the bottom right corner of the photo is our cat Conan. He puts his little paws on Josh's hand asking for some morsels from his plate! He is so hard done by this cat!!! lol Like all cats i suppose!!

This was the palette

The Colour Room #60

Its really hard when your scrapping style has changed

but your scrapping supplies haven't!!!
We dont have a shop here and its so hard to scrap 4 pacific colours out of your stash when you dont have all the colours in supplies that suit the style i now scrap!

Gonna have to work on that!

But here is my layout from this weeks

The Colour Room.....

Totally dont like what i have done with the title,

but i just didn't have anything else in the required colours!
